Storytime: After years of diligent self love work, I was at the cusp of a huge career opportunity. The gag is, I was advised to change my hair in order to make it big. The exact words were, “Sherrica you can be so much bigger than natural hair.” This interaction was an example of a microaggression. At the time I didn’t stand up for myself(ugh). However, I have decided to turn that negative moment into a movement! Hair is an integral part of a woman’s identity, especially a black woman, and embracing one’s hair is a form of self-love. When you purchase and wear products from this shop you are affirming;
“There Is Nothing Bigger Than My Hair.”
